National scheme

Vape take-back at shops that sell vapes

Free · Return in store

Shops that sell vapes must take used vapes back free of charge; the law only requires it when you buy a similar vape, but most vape shops take them anyway.

  1. Take used vapes, pods and vape batteries to a vape shop or other shop that sells vapes
  2. Ask staff or use the vape recycling bin; the shop can't charge you
  3. Never put a vape in a bin: its lithium battery can start a fire
